Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

This incredible season begins
September 21 – October 31 and
many students are anxious for the
season to begin. Every year Halloween Horror Nights gets bigger,
busier, and scarier. Horror Nights
2012 has offered five mazes:
“The Walking Dead,” “The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre,” “Silent Hill,”
“La Llorona,” and “Alice Cooper.” Universal has recognized
the problem with changing prices
that offers discounts like $5-$25
dollars off on slower nights, on
Thursdays and Sundays, and
higher the prices from $40-$60 on
Friday and Saturdays due to the
popularity of these days.
“Hurry up and go as soon as
possible because prices are rising
and tickets get sold out fast. You
wont regret it, its worth it and it
will be the best experience ever”
sophomore Jose Gonzalez said.
Some APB students are considering going to discount nights
than on higher prices nights like
Sophomore Jesus Ramirez, “I
feel adrenaline rushing and feel it
might be a fun place to go to. The
discounts are amazingly cheap and
all my family can come along. I
can’t wait to go” he said.
This feeling is what every
teen gets when the season comes
around, but besides just feeling
enthusiasm students ask themselves if Horror Nights will have
a safe environment and a place
where security will be provided.
“Horror Nights has improved
their safety and security precautions, the theme park has many
security guards and staff members
walking around making sure the
multitude is safe” junior Verenizce
Mejia said.
“But, not every APB student
is confident about that, many fear
that even though there is security
check and cameras looking around
many unconscious people still
find the way to make bad decisions” sophomore Santos Flores
said.
Others, like school safety officer Daymond Johnson, agree with
Verenizce.
“It provides a safety place to
be able to go and enjoy halloween” he said.
Horror Night staff memebers
have made rules for visitors to
keep their hands to themselves. Its
prohibited for students and any
other visitor to touch the monsters.
“If you touch a monster, Universal Studios security staff will
demand you to leave the theme
park, its part of their security
rules” junior Alejandra Carranza
said.
Many students find Universal
Horror nights interesting because
of the mazes it has. Students
have seen how the mazes are set
up, with blood and the smell. It
makes it seem real and brings
goose bumps to their body.
Besides just having spooky
mazes, Horror Nights also offers
a variety of events and things to
do for halloween like attending
the Universal Monster remix and
the Terror Tram.
Students also think that is an
exciting place to go and have a
great time with your friends and at
the same time enjoy the halloween
season.
“I’m going the fifth of October, its a place to go with friends
and enjoy halloween rather than
going trick or treating and getting cheap candy” Junior Ashley
Lemus said.
On the other hand, many APB
students and staff are not that
excited about attending Horror
Nights because they are horrified
about the mazes and the monsters.
“I’m not going because the
mazes are scary and scary stuff
scare me; I hate scary stuff and
scaring myself.” ninth grade US
Government teacher Ms. Lauren
Beattie said.
“I won’t be going because
its scary and horryfing. I hate
mazes and surprising my self with
random things that pop out, I will
save my money for clothes and a
Juicy Cutour bag” junior Ameyalli
Marchan said.
Student are encouraging their
peers to go to Halloween Horror
night because many, like junior
Jazmin Flores, believe that the halloween spirit is fading away every
year. Even though this is happening students and their families can
still have the opportunity to go to
Universal and enjoy the halloween
fun they offer.
“I encourage students to go
because if you’ve never gone
you can go for the first time and
experience it. Also, it can help
celebrate the season now that its
fading away and besides that, its
safe” Jazmin said.
“I suggest every APB to
student attends because they will
bring encourgement and convince
others to go. I will be attending
in a couple of weeks and will
encourgae my friends to go. I
promise you wont regret it because its the best time of the year
for you to go and make memories
and fun of people.” junior Jocelyn
Aceves said.
Universal Studios horror nights
will be waiting for every student
to come and celebrate the halloween season with monsters and
zombies.
