Mathematics Teacher Jose Ramirez is going to continue his studies at Harvard University
Math Teacher–Jose Ramirez
After four years at APB, mathematics teacher Jose Ramirez has decided to leave the APB family to pursue higher education. Ramirez decided he wanted to continue his studies next year and plans on moving to Boston, Massachusetts where he will be attending Harvard University. Ramirez said his experiences at APB have been rewarding because he had the opportunity to teach where he grew up and give back to his community. As for the new geometry teacher replacing him, Lauren Shiokari has been hired next year to teach geometry.
English Teacher–Hayley Beaupré
English teacher Hayley Beaupré has only been an APB member for two years and is now moving to San Diego where her husband got a new job. Beaupré says her experiences at APB have been “phenomenal, and I’m very sad that I’m leaving this school and if I could put it on wheels and roll it down to San Diego with all of you in it, I would.” Beaupré added that her departure from APB is due to her super powers, and since Los Angeles has its own secret superhero her only option was to go protect San Diego.
Resource Teacher–Marissa Martinez
Because of her recent pregnancy, resource specialist Marissa Martinez plans to leave APB, which has been her home for four years. Martinez has worked with many different people throughout her years at APB. “I liked working with Ms. Wu, and I loved working with all the teachers, but the kids made it the best… and I had great bosses,” Martinez said. Although she is unsure on what exactly she plans on doing after her son’s arrival, she does plan on coming back to APB every year to watch big drama shows.
