APB shows a lot of love and affection

At ÁPB students have the opportunity to show the love they have for each other as friends and couples.
Each year the halls are filled with balloons, teddy bears, hearts, roses, chocolates, grams, hugs, and kisses.
This year it wasn’t an exception.
Students here at ÁPB share life moments with each other whether if it is a friend or your lovey dovey “boo boo”.
ÁPB’s campus was filled with much love and affection from friends and couples at the annual valentine dance.
Excitement and joy was shown when students had the opportunity to “marry” their  “soulmates” and be pronounced “Husband and Wife.”
The first annual “Valentine Court” was a success.
Winners of the night were:  senior King and Queen Alex Droin and Elizabeth Aquino, junior best guy and girl friends Prince and Princess Angel Flores and Elizabeth Garcia, senior best guy best friends Prince and Prince Javier Chavez and Noel Nevarez, and sophomore Princess’ Kenia Johnson and D’end Tillman.
This year cupid struck hard, friends and couples showed the affection they felt for each other.
Although many students didn’t have a valentine this year, they still got the chance to express their love for one another.
There are many more years to come and show how much we mean to each other.
The love will never die and it will stay strong.

Cassandra Carillo and Itzel Valdez, 12th grade
“We met in sophomore year at the San Diego trip and have been friends since then and we sealed our friendship with best friend necklaces. We are special to each other because we have been through similar situations. An embarrassing moment we have is that every time we go out, anywhere, we are the loudest ones” said seniors Itzel and Cassandra.

Santos Flores and Jose Gonzalez, 10th grade
“We met the second day of 6th grade while we were copying each others English homework and got caught cheating by our teacher. After we got caught we started talking more and we became friends. We have now been friends for 5 years; we like partying and playing soccer together. An embarrassing moment that we have had together would be when we got “pants” in P.E. Everyone outside the P.E. area saw our underwear and made fun of us for 3 weeks” said sophmores Jose and Santos.

Kevin Alduerida and Leonides Martinez, 9th grade
“When Leonides moved in next door a few years ago we started talking, we became friends, and later started dating-thanks to her brother now we have been dating for two years and four months. What makes us special is that we are nice, caring, and loving to each other and we are just too awesome. An embarrassing moment together would be when I accidentally threw her a water balloon when it was suppose to land on her brother. We totally see each other together in ten years because we have been through
a lot  together and still have managed to stay together”

Javier Hildago and Manuel Galeana, 11th grade
“We met in ninth grade History class talking about football because Javier rudely interrupted when I was making a bet with my other friends about the 2010 Super Bowl. Although Javier is a paisa, and I don’t like paisas, I made an exception and he doesn’t like long hair but he also makes an exception. Two of the most embarrassing moments was when we met each others families and when we had to fill out the valentine questionnaire. We see each other together forever because we are bff’s for life.” said Junior Manuel Galeana.Edward and Elizabeth, 12th grade
“We’ve been together now for three years thanks to a random “unknown phone call.” Yes, we got together thanks to that. Ever since we have liked everything about each other, we’re cute, and funny. An embarrassing moment together was when we went to eat at Boys Burgers and we were messing around and this guy just stared for a while. We see each other together in ten years because if we have managed to be together for three years we can try and figure things out for the future.”Verenizce Mejia and Karen Verduzco, 11th grade
“We met by our parents in bible study. We’ve been friends for 10 years. We’ve been friends for so long because we both know that we’ll always be there for each other through thick and thin. We absolutely see ourselves together as best friends in 10 years. We are planning to move in together which will keep our friendship together.”

Armando Gutierrez and Maribel Morales, 11th grade
“We met in our 9th grade technology class and we have now been together for 1 year and 9 months. An embarrassing moment that happened to us was when Maribel was sitting on my stomach and farted. We are special to each other because we know how to keep each other happy and we show love to each other. We are not afraid to be comfortable with one another. We do see each other together in 10 years because even though there’s some bumps in the road, we still manage to fix our issues and move forward.” said Armando Gutierrez.

Ms. Catherine Perez and Mr. Brian Reed, Language Arts teachers
“We met through a mutual friend five years ago and even though are football teams are rivals we are still friends. We are teaching life partners because we inspire eachother to be better educators and continue our passion for teaching. We will be friends for ever; for life.”
