           1. Do NOT Procrastinate

Procrastination is the worst thing a student can do in high school. Waiting to the last minute to complete an assignment will hurt you and the quality of the assignment. Procrastination puts pressure on student to meet the deadline and knowing teens, they rather give up than complete their homework/assignment. Tip number one, don’t procrastinate, complete all your homework and assignments when first assigned to you.

  1. Complete your assignments and homework

Class assignments and homework make up most of your grade and by not completing them, the zero in the gradebook will dramatically affect your grade for the worst. Completing assignments and homework is also a very good practice for you, in preparation for upcoming quizzes and unit exams. You’ll know what you’re doing, and you will be prepared for the quiz or exam If you don’t understand the homework and/or assignment then you will know what you need further help on. Therefore, tip number two is completing all of your homework and assignments. You will have a higher chance to strive in all your classes by completing all your classwork and assignments.`

  1. Prepare for exams by studying

As you know that exams can be difficult and be crucial towards our grade in which it is important to study before the exam. Especially when finals comes you have to try your best since you want a good GPA for your future. Many students tend not to study since they feel like that they are prepared enough to remember what they learn throughout the months. In which it can be true but it is still important to study because it can refresh your mind and strengthen your ability to memorize important factors that you’ll need for the test. You can even get help from your peer, both can study and help each other out. It does not hurt to study few times a day before that important exam.

  1. Do NOT be shy to ask teachers questions when you’re confused!

Asking questions to teachers maybe intimidating but asking is so worth it when your stuck or confused on a lecture or topic. Questions can help you understand the topic better and you don’t have to worry about doing your homework or your independent work being confused. It will make you a great student to ask questions and make your knowledge grow.

  1. Go to Guided Study to get help from teachers

If you’re really struggling and falling behind in your classes your best option is to take some time after school to attend guided study with teachers you need the extra help from. Not only do they put you on the right track, some teachers even give extra credit for attending which allows you to achieve an A that much easier. Also, if you’re lucky, you can get on your teacher’s good side and avoid a few fails for the rest of the semester.

  1.  Team Work!

If you feel you really have no time to attend guided study either due to club meetings or having plans elsewhere, truly understanding the subject taught could be much simpler by working with friends. Finding a good group of friends who are willing to cooperate in studying and thoroughly comprehending the subject is a sure way to improve your grade in the long run. However, finding the right group of friends can be tricky and important since getting stuck with students who procrastinate and get distracted won’t get you anywhere.
