On January 5, 2025 Bad Bunny also known as the “King of Trap” made a major comeback with his newest album “DeBÍ TIRAR Más FOTos” preparing his fans for the summer.
In his “DtMF” he expresses his love for his home country Puerto Rico where not only through his songs does he express his love for it but also by collaborating with major Puerto Rican artists like “Dei V” and “RaiNao”. Bad Bunny uses various new music rhythms like salsa and rumba making his album feel like a love letter to Puerto Rico.
Bad Bunny has definitely shocked a lot of his fans with these new rhythms including myself. As someone who enjoyed “Un Verano Sin Ti” this album was very impressive to hear his songs incorporate the sound of maracas, trumpets, and timbales.
“BAILE INoLVIDABLE” was one of my favorites as you could clearly hear the salsa rhythm making anyone want to dance. Not only was the rhythm of this song very catchy but also the lyrics.
Many fans claim this song is about his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Berlengri. This song has managed to put fans in their feelings as it expresses learning how to do so many things for someone you love deeply including how to love them and how it sticks with you making you miss them as they are now a big part of you.
Along with his song “TURiSTA” where he talks about having a passenger, love is similar to a vacation bringing feelings of nostalgia, intensity, and the pain of missing someone. This is not the only song where he emits feelings of nostalgia to his listeners.
One of his major worldwide hits from this album was “DtMF” touching the whole world. Hearing this song reminded me of all my family especially my grandparents due to distance as “DtMF” talks about how he should have taken more photos with his loved ones when he had the opportunity. This song has so much nostalgia through the rhythm as it sounds like a clock is ticking, sounding so calming.
“DtMF” not only made a lot of fans like me emotional but also initiated a Tik Tok trend where people put various photos of their loved ones that were sadly no longer with them expressing how much they love and miss them. This trend broke language variety allowing everyone to connect through the same feelings of nostalgia.
This album wasn’t just full of nostalgia and sadness it also had similar vibes to his typical electronic and bumping beats. “EoO” and “KETU TeCRE” giving major club vibes. These songs have made many of his fans excited for the summer as they make us want to get up on our feet and start dancing.
Overall Bad Bunny’s album “DtMF” is a 5/5 as it is a mixture of nostalgia, melancholy, and vibrance. This is the type of album that can make you sit and stare at the wall blankly but also make you want to dance in the shower. The top five songs that I recommend from this album are “DtMF”, “NUEVAYoL”, “LO QUE LE PASO A HAWAii”, “WELTiTA” and “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” all powerful lyrical songs that anyone can relate to.
Bad Bunny has left his fans eager for a tour as he has not disappointed once again.
