February 18, 2024 – A wave of joy has washed over Ms. Velasquez, formerly known as Ms. Beliso, with the arrival of her baby boy, Ramsay Leonel Velasquez. After having two daughters, she was thrilled to finally welcome a son into the family.
“I wanted a boy so badly, but I didn’t think I was going to get one,” she shared, reflecting on her excitement upon discovering her pregnancy. “I was thrilled!”
Ramsay’s name carries deep personal significance. Inspired by a character from Game of Thrones, his middle name, Leonel, pays tribute to soccer legend Lionel Messi, while Velasquez honors her husband’s family name. Despite the overwhelming joy of a new baby, Ms. Velasquez faced initial anxiety about sharing the news with her parents, especially since she and her husband had just recently married.
“Honestly, I was nervous, but they were so excited! They had a really good feeling about it,” she recalled.
Adjusting to life with a newborn presents its own set of challenges.
“It’s a little stressful,” Ms. Velasquez explained. “I go to work early in the morning, and then my husband takes over in the evening. We’re trying to avoid daycare for now.”
However, she praised Ramsay for being an easy baby, noting that he typically sleeps through the night, waking only once around 4 AM for a bottle.On weekends, the family makes the most of their time together.
“We go to Mass, play video games, and tackle chores as a team,” she said, emphasizing the importance of these shared moments. Ms. Velasquez is completely in love with her baby boy.
“He’s literally the cutest and happiest baby. We are so in love with him! He’s the light of our lives.”
Looking ahead, she plans to introduce Ramsay at the upcoming APB carnival, where he will be featured in a story. Additionally, she has entered him into the “Baby of the Year” contest, hoping to capture the hearts of many.
