Basic Vacation debut single “I Believe” was released on October 15, 2013. So far every person who has listened to their single has been hooked. The Indie-Pop label Neon Gold stated, “There is a new thing called Basic Vacation and we’re pretty sure they’re going to be rather large.” Despite its breezy sound, the song actually comes from a relatively dark place. It has to do about not giving up on a relationship even when the odds are stacked against you and the other person has already given up.

When asking Stephanie Miranda a sophmore at Animo Pat Brown if she ever heard of Basic Vacation her reply was no. But, once she put on the earphones and started listening to the song “I Believe” by Basic Vacation her reply was, “There great! If they keep playing like this, there band career will go really far.”
