Since the release of the movie X-men: Days of Future Past, there has been a rumor going around. This rumor is more of a cameo in X-men: Days of Future Past. At the end of the movie, there is an after-credits scene
This scene shows a mysterious figure who is creating an Egyptian pyramid using telekinesis. This figure has been rumored to be the notorious Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac) from the Marvel universe. This rumor has been confirmed by the release of the trailer for the movie during Super Bowl 50. To give a bit of context on who the main antagonist in the upcoming movie is: Apocalypse is the original mutant and has been seen as a god for thousands of years. In the movie, he recruits multiple mutants to aid him in his quest to create a world order of mutants. He has been given a name at birth that significantly acknowledges his title as the first mutant, that name is En Sabah Nur. Throughout the entirety of the movie the young X-men are led by Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) into a battle to save the world from Tyranny.
The main question that remains to be answered is: Should you watch it?
Joel Cervantes, a cousin of mine says, “I’m excited to see the movie because I really like the characters, as well as the actors.”
He also believes the upcoming film will be a good movie to watch, “seeing as how the past couple movies were really good, I expect this one to be good too.”
Lastly, he believes that in the film, the X-men will overcome Apocalypse by a very surprising way. “I think Magneto will be the key to beating Apocalypse. Magneto is not the type to be a subordinate, he always wants to be the most powerful and isn’t likely to be taking orders…for long.”
