Today I am going to talk about my review on the two dishes that I had in the restaurant, La Chica Loca. I tried their tortas ahogadas and tacos dorados. Some additional information about the restaurant is that La Chiva Loca is a Mexican themed restaurant that serves classic Guadalajaran dishes and was created in April 2019. They are famous for their tortas ahogadas. Their mascot is based on the La Chivas soccer team that is from Guadalajara.

From the two dishes that I tried from the restaurant I leaned more towards their tacos dorados because it has a piece of cheese inside and have the same toppings that the torta ahogadas has. However, it was mostly the shreds of pork carnitas that made the dish enjoyable. You can also put the tomato sauce that they give you on the dishes so that they are soggier, which adds flavor to the dishes.

I didn’t really like their tortas ahogadas because when I tried the tortas, they would sometimes be too stiff to bite into, even if you pour the tomato sauce on them, which is supposed to make the tortas soggy. However, I do enjoy the toppings that they have. I would give this restaurant a 4 star rating, you must try!
