High School held its annual event, Career Day, on February 21, 2025. This function is dedicated to exposing students to alumni and business entrepreneurs in diverse and lesser-known careers. This year, the school partnered with the nonprofit organization “What’s Your Cause” to make the day even more impactful. The objective was to inspire students to pursue their passions and dreams with dedication.
The day began with students going to their College Readiness classes to receive schedules tailored to their interests. For the first half of the day, 9th and 10th graders gathered in the school’s gym, while 11th and 12th graders attended three specific classes based on their schedules.
As students moved to their designated areas, they were surprised by cameras capturing the event, highlighting their participation. This added excitement to the day’s activities. The sessions included guest speakers discussing their backgrounds, careers, and personal experiences. They shared stories of overcoming struggles, emphasizing the importance of motivation and perseverance in achieving success and providing for their families. The clear message to students was that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.

Ms.Morales and Dezzy
As Dezzy, one of the host of the career day presentations, was singing to the audience, he also inquired and selected Ms.Morales from the crowd and sang to her romantically. As a token of his appreciation he gave her a rose, that sent students into a frenzy.
Ms. Morales “I found the whole situation funny and ridiculous. I don’t get peer pressure easily, so it was funny to see the guy get frustrated because I wasn’t playing along with the “joke”. I think the intention was to make the students laugh and it’s silly memory for my senior students so at the end of the day I’d volunteer again just for the “plot”.
