Just recently,California has been pushing for a policy that is called “ammunition control”, this policy limits internet sales for ammunition, bans large-capacity magazines, requires sellers to have licenses to purchase, raises taxes on bullets, and mandates serial numbers or other traceable markings on ammunition so it is easier to track. Overall, this policy sounds solid and many people are in favor of it, including me. I believe that this policy was a huge step in the right direction for gun control, this is because it indirectly limits the power of the firearm without infringing the 2nd amendment. This is why I solemnly believe that “ammunition control” needs to be passed, I am sure that every Californian will support this policy, because ammunition is what renders firearms truly lethal. Just like what Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan once said, “guns don’t kill people; bullets do.”
