Football season is back.
The Animo Monarchs came out of the first game of the season with a 22-0 victory over West Shore High School at the Sept. 9 game at Clay Middle School.
Jose Esquivel a junior at Animo Jackie Robinson broke his hand during the game and will be getting surgery sometime soon, Animo football player Antoine Richardson, who plays Running back, said.
APB is represented on the Animo football team by senior Ramon Iribe, junior Arturo Gutierrez, senior Antoine Richardson, junior Francisco Madera and senior Angel Flores.
Arturo, who plays lineman, said he was excited, but “felt butterflies” during the first game.
“We could’ve done better I felt that we weren’t prepare mentally but will get better as games go by,” he added.
