Lately Marvel has owned the Box office with its’ action pact movies, however this might soon change with the release of Suicide Squad, and Batman v. Superman this year. The new trailers released caused an extraordinary amount of hype. With the Batman v. Superman trailer which shows us a sneak peak of the terrifying Doomsday, then with Suicide Squad having Bohemian Rhapsody perfectly synced to it.
With the release of the new Batman v Superman trailer, many have speculated that the movie will be based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, but Zack Snyder, director of the movie, stated that he has drawn inspiration from it, but it may not follow its original storyline. Furthermore, this movie will be the foundation for the upcoming Justice League movies, so we will see a lot of superhero cameos crammed into it. There have been some rumors of Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo from Game Of Thrones) being in the movie, nothing confirmed yet though.
When asked whether the trailers did a good job building hype Luis Chavez an 11th grader here at APB stated “I honestly think that the Batman Vs Superman trailer showed too much… But overall I believe that they did hype up the movies pretty good”.
In addition when we asked another Luis Chavez (also known as Cheto) a tenth grader at APB what he thought he responded with “It was something I didn’t expect, Bad guys in one team doing the government’s dirty work, also they chose decent actors to play the villains”
Finally when we asked APB’s own Mr.Pickering whether he had a favorite part in the trailer he stated “My favorite part in the trailer for Suicide Squad had to be the song Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background. You have this song that has an operatic feeling to it with all the voilnece in the movie.” to conclude he said “ It was amazing.”
Overall, APB students should consider watching these two highly anticipated films.
