My experience going to Monster Jam as a first timer was fun but unexpected. This was a two day event from the 17th to the 18th of January that took place at the Angels Stadium in Anaheim. I went on the 18th- as you enter you can see all of the die hard fans, with some people wearing ear protection so I recommend getting some if you can’t handle the loud noises of the monster truck engines.
Some information about Monster Jam is that it’s a live show event that goes on tour around the US with different types of monster trucks with custom designs based on the team’s names and built to withstand the tracks and tricks they perform. In the show, they introduce 12 monster truck drivers and you watch them race each other as they go around the tracks. They then let you vote on your phone for the next two competitions that are the skills challenge and freestyle challenge.
They also interact with the people in the audience and if you’re lucky though, they give out free merch— however, they quiz people based on the Monster Trucks. Some things you can experience, but you’ll have to pay for going into the pit to see the monster trucks up close and to meet your favorite driver backstage when the show ends.

Some highlights at the show were the monster truck divers because of their free-style performances, especially when all of the trucks did backflips off the ramp and some of the trucks performing donuts. Another highlight was the truck “Ringling Bailey Circuit” because it has a robot dog that represents the truck and comes out when the monster truck is competing and cheers on its truck.
Overall, it was a good experience if you’re a first timer and you don’t know what to expect when you go. I would recommend going to Monster Jam with your friends and family! I give this experience a 4 out 5 stars.
