Barcelona vs Real Madrid, they played on January 11th, 2026, in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, 3-2 win in the Supercopa de España and El Clásico final.

This was a big win for Barcelona since they beat their rivals, Real Madrid, in a dramatic first half where the final score was 2-2. This match was very important for both teams since it was the Supercopa de España.

Real Madrid’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, said, “We lacked the finishing to take it to penalties… It was a very even, highly competitive match. We kept competing and showing character.”  Alonso reflected on missing important chances that could have won them the game.

Xabi Alonso was sacked as Real Madrid manager on January 12, 2026, following a loss to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final. He lasted 8 months as Real Madrid’s coach.

In the first half of the match, Raphinha opened the score in the 36th minute to make the score 1-0.

Then, in extra time in the 45+2 minute, Vinicius scored to tie the game. Vinicius Jr scored for the first time after 19 games, or 3 months, without scoring a goal for Real Madrid.

Robert Lewandowski later scored when he chipped the ball to make it 2-1 in the 45+4th minute.

Gonzalo Garcia scores the equalizer for Real Madrid, making it 2-2 in the 45+6th minute.

In the 73rd minute, Raphinha scored, making it 3-2 after his shot was deflected off the Real Madrid defender’s foot.

Frenkie de Jong got a red card in the 90+1st minute. Barcelona ended the game with 10 men.

Barcelona beat their rivals Real Madrid  3-2 after a brace from Raphinha who was also the man of the match in this El Clásico final.
