Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semifinal 4-3 win for Atletico Madrid over both legs, The second leg of the Copa del Rey was played in the Barcelona home stadium, Camp Nou March 3rd.

In the first leg of the copa del rey where Atletico played at home in the Riyadh Air Metropolitano where they had beat Barcelona 4-0 all 4 goals were scored in the first 45 minutes of the match.

The first goal was an own goal from Barcelona player Eric Garcia in the 7th minute, then in the second goal Antoine Griezmann scores in the 14th minute after him Ademola Lookman scores in the 33rd minute, in extra time of the first half julian alvarez scores in the 45+2 minute.

Later in the 85th minute Eric Garcia was sent off because he had gotten a red card when he went in for a slide tackle the referee had originally given him a yellow card but after VAR reviewed it he was given a red card for his foul.

Antoine Griezmann had received the highest rating of the match; he had gotten a 8.5 rating because he had scored one of the 4 goals and was important in attack.

Frenkie de Jong was the best player for Barcelona; he had received a 5.0 rating because he wasn’t really controlling the midfield.

In the second leg of the copa del rey they played in the camp nou March 5, where Barcelona had played at home where they scored 3 goals. Barcelona was looking to make a comeback at home scoring at least 5 goals at home. Unfortunately Barcelona didn’t score enough goals to beat Atletico Madrid and make it to the final of the copa del rey.

Even though atletico madrid was parking the bus the whole match Barcelona was still able to score 3 goals.

The players that had scored were Marc Bernal; he had scored the first goal for Barcelona in the 29th minute, then Raphinha had scored a penalty in the 45+2 minute, later Marc Bernal scored again in the 71st minute scoring 2 goals for Barcelona.

Barcelona’s best player in the second leg of this copa del rey semifinal was marc bernal he was the player of the match because he had scored 2 goals and received a 9.2 match rating.

Atletico Madrid’s best player was goal keeper Juan Musso where he made 6 saves trying to stop Barcelona from scoring a 4th goal he had gotten 8.0 match rating.

Barcelona couldn’t make the comeback unfortunately only scoring 3 goals in the second leg and they were knocked out of the competition by Atletico Madrid that had scored 4 goals in the first leg, the final score of these matches was  4-3 on aggregate.
