The Los Angeles Chargers beat the Minnesota Vikings in a score of 37-10 with the Chargers never stopping the scoring and scoring in every quarter of the game.
The Chargers had an amazing display of defense as they held the Vikings in the first and fourth quarter scoreless while getting 5 sacks throughout the game in Sofi Stadium on October 23rd, 2025.
This game was pivotal to the Vikings as they had just come of a 28-22 loss in hopes of not having a losing streak with their QB1, J.J. McCarthy, injured while the Chargers were also trying to avoid another loss as they had lost to the Colts in a high scoring match with it ending 38-24.
“It was a big win for us. A big opportunity for us to go and correct some of our mistakes…its just good to see the Chargers win a game,” said Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert after the win to a reporter in a post-game press conference organized by the Chargers.
In the first quarter, Oronde Gadsden II caught an 8 yard pass to open the scoring of the game to kick-off the motivation after the defense had forced a turnover.
“It’s easy when things get challenging like this to get frustrated and let your emotions get the best of you and let those circumstances dictate your behavior. That’s human nature, seek comfort and we can’t do that,” claimed Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman displaying his disappointment in the loss to reporters.
Josh Metellus caught an interception in the third quarter turning over the ball trying to convert nothing into something.
Ladd McConey, wide receiver for the Chargers, had 6 receptions with 88 receiving yards averaging 14.7 yards per catch while also scoring a touchdown.
Justin Jefferson, also WR but for the Vikings, was the standout player for the Vikings as he had 7 receptions throughout the whole game with 74 yards averaging 10.6 yards per reception but not scoring a touchdown.
Chargers finished the game scoring a touchdown and two field goals in the fourth quarter after Vikings had two quarters of scoring but Chargers never stopped scoring with them opening the score in the first quarter with an easy 8 yard pass touchdown to Gadsden.
